A steady but sure movement up.

Starting from home.

Where it all started.

When we started back in 2024,we held services in our own house. This was the beginning of a journey. It all started with the Pastor and his household. We held on as we started looking for a place to set up our church. In the meantime we worked on getting a tent.

Out of the house, into a tent.

Eventually we found space to pitch the tent, which we purchased while fellowshipping at home. This was not an ideal, but necessary setting. We moved out of the house. It did help us and carried us well. We were, however, to experience the challenges of operating in a tent. Firstly, we couldn’t pitch a tent and leave it there. We had to pitch it on Sunday morning before service, and take it down after the service. Secondly, the weather. Sometimes we could not go because it is raining all morning. The other times it is extremely windy and dusty. The tent did help indeed , but there came time for adjustment. Time to move up once more.

The current situation while advancing.

This is where we are now. This is not bricks and mortar for sure, but it is a structure we can work with. Come rain, come winds, we will be there. Would this structure helps us? Greatly! First up, we now have a structure that will be there all days of the week. Pastoral care will be easier.

Any lesson from this story?

What we can learn from this is that we should keep moving. Growth is not instant, but steady and progressive. Like they always say: Run. If you can`t run, walk. If you can`t walk, crawl. Motion must never stop. Where to from here? We keep believing and trusting in the GOD who has seen us through these changes. Bricks and mortar is the most logical next step, and who knows, maybe an auditorium is not that far-fetched. This a journey.
