I have come to be reminded that prayer still works even to this day. What should be remembered is to understand prayer for what it is, not the tedious exercise it is perceived to be. Prayer is a communication tool between man and his Creator. Pouring your heart out to God does not wear Him out. God could not be the God who never slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4) except there is a reason not to. His eye could not be going to and fro (2 Chronicles 16:9), looking for who to strengthen, if there was no need. Afterall, it is the fervent prayer of the righteous man that avails much (James 5: 16-18). The Bible instructs us to pray incessantly (1 Thessalonians 5: 17; Ephesians 6: 18). Take heart, God does want to hear from you.
